AETNA SPRINGS CELLARS Estate Bottled 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (188 cases).  Aromas and flavors of plum, with layers of blackberry, licorice, cherries, and casis.  Soft tannins yield to rich flavors in this blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc, all grapes from our own Aetna Springs ranch vineyards.  The end product is our deep, rich, full-bodied estate-bottled Cab that will age beautifully.    Deep cherry and spice nose: rich velvety black fruit flavors, chocolate note; long, complex finish."

AETNA SPRINGS CELLARS  2000 MERLOT (1500 cases).   a textbook Merlot....deep ruby-colored wine with a spicy nose....scents cherries, boysenberries, currant and plum....medium body, excellent richness, fine purity and enough acidity to provide definition.     This Merlot joins the line of our award winning Merlots:   Our 1998 Merlot won a gold medal at the New World International Wine Competition, Feb.2000; silver medal at the Calif. State Fair, June 2000; and most recently,  Best of Class [i.e. best of all gold medal Merlot winners in the small wineries competition]  at the Yr2000 Los Angeles County Fair

SOLD OUT:                                          AETNA SPRINGS CELLARS  2000 Chardonnay (988 cases).  Golden, full-bodied, with a rich supple and elegant texture....an intense chardonnay varietal character, smooth and buttery, with hints of toasty oak and nutmeg spice.
     Chardonnay grape yields are small and require special care in the wine-makig process to produce a fine, long-lived wine.  Such care is reflected in the lovely balance of fruit, oak and acidity.  Nov. 1, 2000 San Francisco Chronicle The Chronicle's Top 100 Wines for 2000:  "Aetna Springs 1998 Chardonnay $16.   Here is a lovely, bright Chardonnay with great balance, citrus flavors, pear and apple and not at all heavily oaked.  A great value!"

AETNA SPRINGS CELLARS ESTATE BOTTLED 2004 SYRAH (125 cases).  We have added to our varietals this wonderfully complex, smooth, drinkable Syrah.   Opulent on the palage, this lush, full-bodied estate Syrah has low enough acidity and sweet enough fruit to be drunk now, but promises to develop nicely for 10-15 years.
